Full Grooming
Whether you want a show trim, a maintanence groom or it just hasn't been done for a while, your dog will be given a wash, dry, brush out and style. Eyes, ears, feet and nails are attended to as well as tidying up around the face and tail to keep your pet in shape.
We use many methods to achieve the correct look for your dog such as clipping, hand stripping, carding and scissoring.
Note if you dog is heavily matted additional time and therefore cost may be incurred. In some cases the coat may have to be completely clipped off so it may not be possible to achieve the desired finish or style you desire.

Hand stripping
Some breeds need to have their coats stripped as it removed the dead hair. We offer hand stripping for those breeds whose coats are kept by this method, however some owners prefer to have their dog clipped instead as it is quicker and costs less.
Most coats have two types of hair, the softer hair and the harsh longer guard hairs. It is these guard hairs that die and shed and need to be removed with the fingers. Many terrier breeds traditionally have their coats hand stripped. A dog will shed his coat approximately every six months and it is then that the hand stripping should be done. The longer hairs are plucked from the coat leaving an even coloured, even textured coat, folowed by carding - quotes can be given
Clipping
Clipping is used to achieve what the customer wants. Dogs will be brushed to remove any matted fur (etc), then bathed and thoroughly dried with powerful and specialist equipment. A thorough process is always undertaken in a way that ensures a good even cut, with carding and scissoring finishing ( depending on the breed of dog). Breed specific or pet owner styles are offered
Scissoring Sculpting
Hand scissoring is a grooming technique that brings balance to the pet and is used for many breeds such as Poodles & Bichon Frise. Rather than simply using clipper blades, hand scissoring is a way to finish the groom in such a way that the pet is simply going to look better. Even pets who prefer to be in a much shorter maintenance trim are usually finished with hand scissoring over the body, feet, and of course, their cute face
Bathing
If you want your dog to smell nice, be mud and dust free or simply freshened up in between its normal grooming appointment, then we are happy to simply wash and blow dry your dog, giving it a light brush through. This is great as an interim way to maintain the coat between appointments
Dog grooming price list
When asking ‘do you have a dog grooming price list’, it’s a bit like saying ‘how much will a car cost me to buy’? Quite a tricky one to get spot on until you know all of the requirements! However as each dog and dog owner have different requirements, we really need to speak to you first in order to give you accurate price. Bigger dogs will naturally differ to smaller dogs, but also a dog’s breed and even your own preferences will have an effect on the overall cost of dog grooming.
We are always pleased to talk to you about our work, and how we can help you with your pet, so please give us a call.
